This series “Unreal” consists of three crocheted “tapestries”. Working in black, white and greyscale I have created 3d scenes using this flat medium. The scenes depicted are that of a non-place, strange rooms and skewed perspectives forming an almost dream like atmosphere woven with yarn. Playing with a sense of space, slightly warped perspectives and unreal shadows. These shadows then becoming a weight or presence in of themselves. Juxtaposing the softness and comfort of the medium with the more uneasy and sinister motifs.
